At 82 Queen, the light and zesty crab cakes come with purloo, prosciutto green beans, and a smear of remoulade
For more than three decades, 82 Queen has been serving traditional Lowcountry dishes like she-crab soup, shrimp and grits, crab cakes, and Frogmore stew. It’s classic and it works. The setting on historic Queen Street in downtown Charleston dates back to 1866, with 11 intimate dining rooms, a parlor-style bar, and a beautiful tree-covered patio. Executive Chef Steven Lusby adds excitement to the menu by using fresh, local ingredients to jazz up some of the old Southern classics. The seasonal winter menu has some hearty fare like beef bourguignon with braised vegetables and fried coq au vin. —Eric Doksa
