Are you the kind of person who uses your beard as a party trick? Now you have a place where that beard can be appreciated, because The Holy City Beard & Moustache Society is back for the third annual Southeastern Beard & Moustache Championships. Once again, all proceeds benefit the Lowcountry Women with Wings charity, and this year the goal is to raise $10,000. The competition will take place at the Music Farm, and everyone is welcome to compete and/or spectate. Categories deal with length, appearance, and grooming, and women will also have the opportunity to participate in the Southern Belle fake moustache and beard categories. Judges include Recovery Room owner Chris DiMattia, current World Champion in Partial Beard Freestyle and two-time winner of Southeastern Beard Championships Bill Mitchell, and Strawberry Blonde Salon stylist Kami Lynn Brown. Music will be provided by Dante’s Camero. In addition to Saturday night’s competition, events are happening all weekend starting with Friday night’s welcome party at the Recovery Room, a Holy City Brewery tasting/tour on Saturday, and Sunday brunch at the Pour House.
