Ho-M (pronounced “home”) is where the heart is. And on Monday night, Ho-M is also where the half-priced burgers and 25 percent-off appetizers are. The Upper King burger mecca is celebrating two years of American cuisine and late-night shenanigans, and for their second anniversary party, they’ll run food specials from 4-10 p.m. with select beers for $2 and well liquor drinks for $4 from 4 p.m.-2 a.m. Pete Smith, manager at Ho-M, says it’s been a great two years of consistently trying new things, with their food and drink menu changing every three months to coincide with the season. Their wide range of patties — from beef to duck, lamb, turkey, and chicken, as well as the more veggie-friendly tempeh, tofu, and quinoa — have made them accessible to people with all kinds of food allergies and preferences. Smith’s glad it’s gone well so far because they’re in it for the long run.
