Kulture Klash 3

Posted by John Stoehr on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 4:31 PM

It's coming. I got word yesterday that the third installment of the massive arts party is going to take place on Nov. 15 at 10 Storehouse Row. This time there will be a "skater vibe," says co-organizer Olivia Pool. She and her cohort are still finalizing the program and plan to issue a press release later next week. But so far, she says, the line-up tentatively includes:

An aerial performance group from Asheville

Art exhibitions from local faves and local unknowns

A skate ramp

On-demand T-shirt printing by artists like Kevin Taylor, Julio Cotto, and Scott Dubos

And a "performance" by Street Level Lab, a local collective merging art and technology

There will also be a website launch to help with information and ticket buying.

Beer is provided by Magic Hat and wine by the bar Social.

More later . . .

Get ahold of your State Reps ASAP and demand that they pass S392 as written. The Chamber of Commerce has threatened to sue if this bill passes. That can only mean one thing, it's a good bill drafted after the bill passed in Arizona that has been upheld by the Federal Courts on 3 seperate occasions now. Let your State Rep know that the Chamber of Commerce will not be re-electing them if they fail to pass this important piece of legislation fighting Illegal Immigration on our State.

Sorry, forgot to mention that S392 will be voted on tomorrow, 2/12/08. So contact them today and contact them often!

Send out the 8 million No-Match letters; let the mass exodus begin. Cut ALL benefits to illegals.

Yeah I'm curious too, seeing as how they are doing what the Invaders have been doing for a while now.

Bradley - the "Invaders" use software from the Graffiti Research Labs. We don't - we wrote our own, and are currently actively developing it. We have games and variety of ways to interactively create art on the big screen, the GRL software is much more limited in its capabilities. Plus, we've got a lot of other cool gadgets and tech for art creation.

Curious readers can expect to read a story about Street Level Lab in tomorrow's City Paper. It's called "Without a Trace: How Charleston is leading the way for graffiti’s next generation." —John Stoehr

Wanna be an art collector? This is a good place to start - you have such a great group of artists hand picked by the Kulture Klash gang in a variety of styles and there's something for any and every budget. I'm really excited about the Limited Edition Printed-on-Demand Sharpie Marker T-Shirts.
