A touch of glass

Posted by John Stoehr on Mon, Aug 11, 2008 at 7:38 AM

Glass artist Dale Chihuly is bringing his work to the Columbia Museum of Art. Titled Dale Chihuly: Seaforms, it will include about 35 glassworks and preliminary sketches from a series created over a 14-year period. The seaforms are reminiscent of ocean creatures and shells yet are unpredictable abstract configurations. The exhibition opens Sept. 5 and runs through Nov. 30.—Susan Cohen
