Notice to Republicans

Posted by Will Moredock on Thu, Apr 1, 2010 at 3:33 PM

Here is a letter, origin unknown, that has been floating around the Internet. A friend shared it with me and now I will share it with you. I'm sure it speaks to what a lot of us are feeling right now about the right wing hysteria. This notice to Republicans is exactly what Frank Rich said in his recent New York Times column. www.nytimes.com/2010/03/28/opinion/28rich.html?hp

NOTICE TO REPUBLICANS:

You didn't get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a President.

You didn't get mad when Dick Cheney allowed energy company officials to dictate energy policy.

You didn’t get mad when a covert CIA operative got outed.

You didn’t get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.

You didn’t get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.

You didn’t get mad when we spent over $600 billion (and counting) on said illegal war.

You didn’t get mad when over $10 billion just disappeared in Iraq.

You didn’t get mad when you saw the Abu Grahib photos.

You didn’t get mad when you found out we were torturing people.

You didn’t get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.

You didn’t get mad when we didn’t catch Bin Laden.

You didn’t get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.

You didn’t get mad when we let a major US city drown.

You didn’t get mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark.

You finally got mad when the government decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, are all OK with you but helping other Americans… well f—k that.

That about right?

Q: What's the difference between Obama's cabinet and a pentitentiary?

A: One houses tax evaders, blackmailers and threats to society. The other is a housing for prisoners.

I can only assume the author is going through a second adolescence or mid-life crisis - I am not being intentionally glib; I honestly do not understand how this type of uninformed, obvious hate-baiting warrants the author a paying vehicle for publication.

If this health care tax law is so good why did they have to bribe half of the DEMOCRAT congress to pass it and why would they not include themselves! And why must 0bama still try and sell this plan to his own people...

Notice to Democrats:

You didn't get mad when the government squandered a trillion dollars on the welfare state and failed to eliminate poverty.

You didn't get mad when the government created a department of energy to free us from dependence on foreign oil and wasted a half trillion taxpayer dollars, only to leave us more dependent on foreign oil than ever before.

You didn't get mad when Bill Clinton (with the help of Jimmy Carter) relaxed sanctions and looked the other way as North Korea went nuclear.

You didn't get mad when Bill Clinton withdrew troops from Somalia in March 1994 and stood by idly in April 1994 as a half million blacks were slaughtered in Rwanda.

You didn't get mad when Bill Clinton refused three separate offers from Sudan to arrest and extradite Bin Laden as well as to provide the United States detailed intelligence information about growing militant organizations in the region.

You didn't get mad when Bill Clinton sold a presidential pardon to Marc Rich for substantial donations to the DNC.

You didn't get mad when the PRC sent bag men (Charlie Trie, Johnny Chung) to fund raise for Clinton's re-election bid in 1996.

You didn't get mad when Bill Clinton wagged his finger at you and said that he "never had sex with that woman", only to be proven a liar by a semen stained cocktail dress.

You didn't get mad at anything done by a Democrat, ever.

You got mad when Al Gore lost a close election, and you've been mad ever since.

Your madness has consumed you and your party, and if you don't wake up, it will consume your country.

You have a right to be mad at the persons responsible for this entire mess. You will find those people in Washington DC, and in your bathroom mirror.

elisafaith13,

It just might happen this time around.

Keep challenging your friends and acquaintances to examine their own feelings about the role of Big Government in their lives.

Ask them if they would be any worse off when both houses of congress are composed of "unconnected" (in a lobbying sense) and "inexperienced" lawmakers.

Remind your friends and acquaintances of the tremendous power wielded by our 535 lawmakers, many of whom have made careers out of spending our tax money in ways that further their own power and wealth.

Explain to them that changing administrations is just rearranging the deck chairs on our sinking ship of state.

REAL CHANGE will happen when our duly elected representatives begin to LISTEN, ACT, and VOTE based on the sentiments of the governed.

Read and understand the meaning and construction of our founding documents, and challenge your friends to do the same. If, in their ignorance, they mock your beliefs and continue spewing thoughtless, nonsensical left wing propaganda, then they are not worth wasting your time on. Move on and challenge another.

We are fighting to save our country and there are many battlefronts. Read Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" and you will know the enemies battle plan before you engage, and when you do engage, use their own tactics against them. Pick a target, isolate it, destroy it using ridicule. Use their own rules against them.

Keep challenging people in the arena of ideas. Places like these forums.

In short, "You go, girl!"

Congradulations, IP Yuengling and Elisafaith13, you hit the nail on the head. The same politician who put our country in the mess were in, are still in Washington allegedly getting us out of this mess!! What a Joke!!!
VOTE THEM OUT. VOTE THEM ALL OUT. This is the only way to get our country back in shape. The first thing your canidate should fight for is Term Limits, and Abolish Lobbing. (legalized bribery)
Nothing will ever change unless they do this first. Wake up America, vote for people who will run this country like it should be, and not their personal debit card!

Correction for Yuengling: Bill Clinton said, "Never had sexual relations with that woman." Look it up. Also look up what "sexual relations" means.
