A married Republican governor caught by a reporter coming out of an airport after a mysterious rendezvous with a mysterious woman. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Well, relax. It's not Mark Sanford we're talking about here. It's his Nevada counterpart, Jim Gibbons. What is it about the Family Values Party that these guys just can't keep their zippers up?

They're full of crap politicians that lie to their families, yet want the voters to believe that they are honest men who made a mistake. BS..... they're dis-honest people that are looking out for themselves and truly don't care who they hurt in the process. (as long as it doesn't effect they're career). Clinton's BJ doesn't seem like such a big deal now does it?!?!
Was his wife just diagnosed with terminal cancer?Did he father a baby then lie about it while a staffer took the fall? No?The GOP has a long way to go to match the sleaziness of the Democrats
There is nothing more entertaining than the hypocrisy of moralists, caught living Married With Children lives while preaching Leave It to Beaver virtues. Their far-right social views, including the belief that abstinence-only sex education will hold their children in check while they are against all of the government entitlements (welfare) that support their unwed mothers and their retarded or deformed children. You can’t have it both ways, make a CHOICE (no pun intended).
Cutiger96. At first I thought you were talking about Newt Gingrich. You know wagging his finger at naughty Bill Clinton while banging his young Secretary when his wife was in the hospital with cancer. I’d love to see a graph of Rep vs Dem for infidelity while in office. “Just questions that need to asked.”
Hey Gadsen, you better get one hell of a big piece of tag board to make your "sleazy politicians" graph.
Mr. Moredock, I know you like to revel in GOP scandals as much as I enjoy watching dirty donkeys like John Edwards twist in the wind, but at this point, perhaps our efforts would be better directed at the entire corrupt body politic.
Selfish. Narcissistic. Craven. Elitist. Unethical. Immoral. Corrupt. Depraved. Ignorant. Venal.
These words aptly describe most of our elected members of Congress, and there are plenty of cads on both sides of the aisle. In general, the longer a politician stays in DC, the more those terms become applicable. That is why public approval of Congress is at an all time low.
So, what are we going to do about it?
Maybe it's time for folks to stop using party labels as a convenient disinfectant for deplorable behavior. Instead of allowing crooked politicians to buy our votes with our own money, maybe we should throw all the bums out.
Let's try something different. You take care of cleaning up the donkey crap - starting with primaries and preliminary races, and we "evil right wingers" will do the same in the elephant cages. Our cleanup efforts are already underway - we call it the "Tea Party". As I am a supporter of decriminalization (and taxation) of marijuana, y'all could attract some of us to your own grass roots "Pot Party". We'll bring some thrift, freedom, and money saving coupons to the national party, and you guys can bring the hooch.
It has to be better than what we're doing now.
Sometimes when I read HUH?'s posts I wonder why s/he chose that name.
Then it just kind of hits me, like a bolt from the blue and I feel like changing my name to "oooooooooooh."
