We love baseball, but some ballgames can be boring. Sometimes you get a great 3-2 game that's a match of teams going punch-for-punch. Many times you get a boring 6-1 game. Every once and awhile, especially in college, you get a fun 12-10 game.
That's what the peanuts and beer are for, right?
But you almost never get games like The Citadel had last night. The Bulldogs scored a whopping 34 runs against Winthrop's 8 in a mid-week match-up at the Joe, the most of any NCAA game so far this season.
In addition to smacking a SoCon record 34 hits to go with 31 RBI, Bulldogs Barrett Charpia and Jonathan Sabo each hit two home runs. One of Charpia's three-run homers capped off a 12-run fifth inning.
