While the worst of the white stuff bypassed Charleston (check out the snow in Eastern North Carolina
, not to mention Atlanta
), a well-defined dusting settled on the Lowcountry overnight and into drive time this morning. That meant some quality sled-time for the kids and even a few snow/slushmen here and there.
All-in-all, between a quarter and half-inch fell of... everything fell on the Charleston area during Leon, according to National Weather Service
estimates, but hey, that's all you need to trigger three-days of school closures around here.
Thanks to all of you out there who posted some great shots over the last day or so to social media. Here are just a few of them as seen through the must-follow Charleston weather hashtag, #chswx.
If there's one thing we don't know in Charleston, it's snow days. They're more like wet, cold, muddy days. And today was no exception.
