After meeting with current students last week
, members of the school's Board of Directors had originally scheduled a meeting with alumni for today. But late on Friday afternoon, Director Robert S. Carr sent an e-mail to a member of the alumni board saying, "I want you to know that while there has been some talk of an alumni town meeting on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at this busy time, we cannot bring all of the pieces together to provide the satisfying meeting you deserve."
Some alumni attended the student meeting last week, where audience members expressed concern over the school's lack of communication about the InfiLaw deal. InfiLaw owns three law schools in Phoenix, Jacksonville, and Charlotte, and during a Q&A session at last week's meeting, some students said that inking a deal with the company could hurt the school's reputation
Leaders at the Charleston School of Law have postponed a meeting with alumni to discuss the school's recent management services agreement with Florida-based company InfiLaw Systems. In the meantime, the CSOL Alumni Board will meet tonight at 6:30 at the Charleston Music Hall to discuss the deal.
