This year marks the sixth anniversary of the Sofa Super Store fire, a tragedy that took the lives of nine Charleston fire fighters.

To memorialize the event, the Charleston Fire Department will hold a remembrance ceremony in honor of the lives lost on Tues. June 18 at 7 p.m. at the site of the fire (1807 Savannah Hwy.). The firefighters' names will be read. A bell will be rung and bagpipes will follow.

The event is open to the public, although parking at the site will be limited. Charleston fire personnel will also stay on watch at the memorial's flagpole for 24 hours, starting at midnight on June 18.

At 7:30 p.m., ABC News 4 will air Charleston 9: The Ultimate Sacrifice, a short documentary produced by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation that was released earlier this summer.
