ScarJoe <3s Stephen -In a shocking turn of events, Stephen Colbert announced his endorsement of his sister on his show last night. Colbert Bush's little brother also set his faux-news sights on MSNBC's Morning Joe after reviewing tape of this week's segments involving Mark Sanford in which Scarborough, who served in Congress with the ex-gov, gushed about his former colleague.

End of Spring Training - Looking at Elizabeth Colbert Busch's 1st District candidacy, Politico notes that this week "Elizabeth Colbert Busch got a name" and stopped just being "Stephen Colbert's sister," which means Colbert Busch will now have to quickly spin up her general election campaign after having "the luxury of kicking back and watching Republicans fight."

Studying Sanford - The Daily Beast has a simple four-rule case study of beating a sex scandal based on the Mark Sanford saga. Meanwhile, Sanford gets the backing (Daily Caller) of good ol' Ben Frasier.

ReVille - The Citadel announced yesterday (P&C) that it will release the findings of its independent report into sex abuse cases involving Skip ReVille this afternoon.

Last Call? - A deal for CARTA to buy the North Charleston Amtrak station reportedly fell through at the last minute Thursday after the county worked for months to negotiate the purchase, which was part if its plan to build an intermodal transportation center on the site. Reflecting on the failure of the deal, County Councilman Elliott Summey said, "You can imagine how angry I am."

Glazed over - USA Today showcases "10 great places to get doughnuts," among them is Charleston's own Glazed on King St. PS - Glazed's late night doughnut menu is now a regular thing. Just sayin'.

Carb Up, Drink down - Prepping for the Cooper River Bridge Run is tough. So we've got an all carb load-based Eat This Tonight just for you bridge runners and a whole mess of Bridge Run-related events happening in the Holy City today and tomorrow.
