Video: Jake Shimabukuro's ukulele

Jake Shimabukuro wowed audiences for two nights in a row this weekend. Our reviewer gave the performance high praise, saying:

All on his own, Shimabukuro is a master of controlled emotion, segueing from rapid fire strumming into unfathomably intense buildups into calming staccato plucking.

We caught up with him on Saturday night and talked about his prized ukulele, hand crafted for him by Kamaka Ukulele in Hawaii. It's a beautiful instrument made with koa wood, which is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. He played a few songs for us as well. Check out the video below.
