Lindsey Graham Republicans

Posted by Jack Hunter on Fri, May 22, 2009 at 1:58 AM

Speaking to the South Carolina Republican state convention over the weekend, Senator Lindsey Graham felt compelled to repeat something he had already said once earlier this month “Ron Paul is not the leader of the Republican Party” “Yes he is!” many responded. Graham said “We are not going to build a party around libertarian ideas.” “You’re a hypocrite!” screamed an audience member. “I’m a winner, pal,” replied Graham.

Actually Lindsey, no you’re not. And when it comes to the debate over the future of the Republican Party, Lindsey Graham is the biggest loser of them all.

Graham sucks and so do the rest of the nauseating liberal Republicans. Go join the liberals on the left where you belong, it even seems that they will support your wars now.

Graham should pull a "Specter" and defect to the Democratic Party. He'd be more welcome there than in the Republican party.

I agree, it's time for the great state of SC to vote this spineless man. Libertarian means liberty. He represents all that is wrong with government. www.talkofliberty.com

We have a Democrat for a president, and the Democrats control both house and senate. This is just the way it is, so Lindsey is right. Libertarians and/or republicans lost. So what does this equate to? **losers**. The republican party must move to the middle if is going to win elections.

rr,
Wouldn't that make Republicans Democrats? Conservatives who embrace a small governement, fiscally sound, and socially moderate stance will find success.
The Republicans didn't lose because they were too conservative, they lost because they were too liberal.

Excellent commentary. The Republicans have become increasingly loathsome, even as America desperately looks for freedom-protecting candidates like Ron Paul. The way they shut him out was disgusting. McCain deserved to lose and I'm glad he did. Obama is awful... but validating the Republicans big government pro-war choice would have been suicidal.
