Janeane Garofalo is a Stupid ...well, you know

Posted by Jack Hunter on Mon, Apr 20, 2009 at 9:40 PM

On the tea party coverage, no example of liberal elitist media bias was more flagrant than that of MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow.

After quickly tiring of both hosts’ relentless, sexual double entendre puns about “tea bagging,” I watched in amazement - and then anger - as they and their guests implied that anyone who dared to question reckless government spending was mentally deficient or worse. Said actress-turned-politico Janeane Garofalo on Olbermann’s Countdown: “let's be very honest about what this is about. It's not about bashing Democrats, it's not about taxes, they have no idea what the Boston tea party was about, they don't know their history at all. This is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up. That is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks. And there is no way around that.”

I might add "ignorant" as another appropriate adjective but I digress...

My point is that I am always fascinated by who/m the left considers relevent as though Garofalo's depth of knowledge on any subject would be additive to the discussion. When dealing with liberals I usually try to to pretend I'm having a conversation with a 5 year old...

See? That's why when an actor or actress opens their mouth about anything social/political, I ignore it because it comes from people that live in a fantasy world and is usually one or a combo of acting roles and have no ability to actually THINK for themselves.. In this instance, i'd say it was Dumb and Dumber.

I really wish people would stop using the words Liberal and conservative all together. It's exactly what the globalist media wants. Then they can heard us into two camps with basically the same agenda except for maybe Gay marriage or some other stupid issue to try to pretend they are different.

Janeane Garofalo is one of the few people in this country who says what she thinks and has the transcrpits and facts to back it up. When anti-war protesters protested, FOX and all the other dittoheads said it was nothing more than a few UNPATRIOTS. She's only playing the game that the conservs started and now they just can't take it!! I know, I know, you guys don't like it when someone actually forms an opinion on FACTS and accute observation. I know you just want to believe the BS Hannity and O'Reilly dole out even though they have been PROVEN wrong again, and again and again. Sure people, do the same thing and expect a different result. GWB is a moron, Cheney is evil and Reagan was an ACTOR...you know, actors who don't live in the "real world". HYPOCRITES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS - Ron Paul and no taxes..think about that people. Really and truyly think about how we are supposed to pay for things like a post office, fire department and school without any taxes. Good luck with that one, buddy.

To refer to Ms Garofalo as an actor is to defame one of the most overpaid underskilled professions. She can't act, is a loser as a stand up comedian and one of the most bitter persons I have heard. Almost as bitter as Maddow and Olbermann.
By the wasy have you noticed that sinse Maddow has joined MSNBC, Keith and his want to be mini me Dave whatever his name is, both purse their lips just like Rachel. Check it out. (If you turn the sound off you can watch without getting bored)

I find it disingenuous at best that at a period of time when Americans are paying the least in Federal and State income Taxes since the great depression - there would be any legitimacy for "Tea Party" as brought to you by same people who rolled out "Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less" six moths ago.

This is a political wedge issue freakshow - brought to you by Newt Gingrich's Action Army. This is the Speaker of the House whose Republican Revloution started the pork barrel swine fest.

The Southern Avenger unfortunately can never see very clearly as the white sheet over his head blocks his peripheral vision.

Since the Regan tax cuts of the 80's - when the man whose previous jobs were playing straight man to a chimp and huckstering Borax, recognized Ketsup for the vegetable it could be - the poorest states (the South) were forced to make up the cutbacks of Federal funding with State and local taxes. How does a state with a 40% poverty rate do this?

In those days Sales tax was 4%. It's now 7 1/2%. Part of this was to make up for cuts in state property taxes. Try this - add up your sales taxes for a month and check the difference between 7.5% and 4%. This difference is shouldered unfaily by the poorest people. Since the Regan cuts South Carolina has never been able to recover. Keep in mind that only 10-15 years prior they had to segreate their schools - so small towns with two schools were then, often forced to build a third new school that could accommodate a mixed constituency. And of course, when Segregation ended - the white flight to private schools snowballed - further draining resources and making public education the least desirable alternative.

Regan's income tax cuts - were rivaled only by his beefed up Military Budgets (the only area of the US budget that has grown in double digits year after year for two decades. Anyone running for Office knows you can't be soft on the Military and get elected.

Look at your phone and cable bill and look at how much is added for "FCC Charges" For what? The FCC rolls over to every big media conglomerate that wants to buy more, charge more, consolidate more - and leave us with the worst news reporting in the Western World.

Media is "Left Wing Biased?" Let's see - who owns ABC, CBS, NBC - Marxist Freedom Fighters - or Fortune 500 Companies diversified into areas including Military Contractors, Banks, and, Rupert Murdock?

Calling the "media biased" is like saying professional wrestling isn't a sport. So Jack - take a staple like Mickey Rourke - and make it appear as though you're a responsibe contributor - and by the way before you slam me with a folding chair - stomp your foot and beat your chest because the balsa wood the fake ones for the Media Smack down tend to splinter and I don't want to get caught unprepared.

Does anyone believe that the Post and Currier wouldn't kill a critical story on Walmart - if Walmart threated to cut off paying for Sunday Sales Circulars?

So, I'm glad people had time to show up and exhibit outrage that people such as for Paris Hilton, Leona Helmsley (or her dog that she willed 12 million to) , and AIG Executives shouldn't have their taxes raised. After all, American Exceptionalism will be neutered by taxation!

Given all the tax credits you can get if you have serious money - does anyone believe that anyone making over 500,000 pays half as much in Federal or State Taxes as those of us making 30-50K?

I just saw therightscoop.com dual interviews w/Keith and Janeane - It is MUST SEE!! She is the most two faced double talking ignorant "activist/actor" on air. Why does anyone follow what these people who have never really had companies to run or day in day out jobs have to say. Her credentials are she can LIE convincingly to play a part on TV - Doesnt that say everything?!!!

In response to EdBdCj:
I guess that I am just most curious as to what "facts" Ms. Garofolo has chosen to use to make her assertions regarding everyone who attended the tea parties to be ignorant racists whose sole purpose in being there was to show their hatred to a black President. To the best of my knowledge the majority of people there were protesting the obscene amounts of money that Congress was spending, is nobody allowed to have a differing opinon without being judged a racist? What facts were used to make this assertation? None, that is her own jaded and slanted opinon. As to her being one the few people in this country to "say what she thinks", hmmmm, I think that that is just a ridiculous statement. There are many MANY people who say what they believe and believe what they say. As far as believing the BS that Hannity and O'Reilley dole out, it would appear that you are doing the exact same thing by actually believing the crap that is spewed out of MSNBC and CNN, which also many times, has been proven to be incorrect. The Conservatives did not start this game, try to pull your head out of your enlightened ass and notice that both sides have screwed up and both media outlets are equally to blame when it comes to their "reporting" facts. They are reporting based on their own personal beliefs and you are choosing to believe what you want. As an aside, you have got to know that CNN and MSNBC went looking for the lowest common denominator when they went to these parties, right? You can't be dumb enough to think that they would actually seek out well educated, articulate people to interview, right? Just like when FOX went out to the anti-war protests, they tried to find the most radical and moronic people to interview hoping that the people watching would not be bright enough to use their common sense and realize that these were the fringe and not the whole. Oh, and truely does not have 2 y's.
P.S. Ron Paul does not think that there should be no taxes, he believes that there should be no income tax. Research before spouting. I'm not saying that I think it could work but, I just disagree with your position on basing arguements on facts when you can't be bothered to check your own.

I cant belive Janeane would even say anything about the tea partys. We are not mad about a black man in the white house. We're upset the way he is doing things and running things. Janeane needs to shut her mouth because she doesnt know what its like for the working class people. What has she ever worked for besides making bad movie that most people has never heard of. She needs work hard for little pay and let our gov. take out taxs and then see what side of the line she'll stand on.

Why for the love of God is Janeanne getting so much as the time of day from anyone? Regardless of one's political beliefs, she's about as funny as a root canal and as articulate as a panhandler.

Anyone who is inspired-or offended-by this woman needs to get a life fast.

So she is smart and the rest of us dolts?
She really thinks no one else knows why the original Tea Party happened?
She thinks we are racists?
She thinks this has nothing to do with all the crime in DC?
Everyone should write to MSNBC, and further more boycott their shows. Let them know this, and they will think twice about having such idiots on the air spewing insults at American Taxpayers.

@Paul Armstrong:

@ Paul Armstrong: You suggest that NBC, ABC, and CBS all owe allegiance to the same Fortune 500/military-industrial complex that Fox does . How do you explain the difference in ideology? Was Andrea Mitchell feigning reverence to the point of orgasm when she described Obama's speech in Cairo as being "G.G.G.Game-changing!!...p..p.otentially!!"?

Why so much emphasis on Reagan? He rolled back his tax cuts when he realized his error. Most liberals are content with reminding us tea-bagging rednecks of the mess the Chosen One inherited from the previous eight years.

If you're one of them making 30-50k, you don't need anyone else's money.

p.s. Is your monitor of the LCD persuasion, or fat and tube-like?
