Charleston County has 43 openings on its boards and commissions. The application deadline is Aug. 29. Five County Council members will review the applications and announce their recommendations Sept. 13.

Business License/User Fee Appeals Board (5 vacancies for applicants with strong financial background)

Community Development Advisory Board (1 vacancy for a representative from the construction sector)
Disabilities and Special Needs Board (7 vacancies)
Charleston County Forestry Board (1 vacancy)
Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals (4 vacancies)
Charleston County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (1 vacancy)
Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission (4 vacancies)
