GOP avatars anything but blue

Posted by Greg Hambrick on Tue, Feb 2, 2010 at 12:41 PM

Tired of life in the minority, GOP leaders have entered virtual reality. Anti-abortion activists marched on Washington last week, but some big guns in the movement couldn’t make the trip.

The event organizers at Americans United for Life took the Second Life craze to a new level with a “Virtual March for Life” on Washington, including avatars, (though not the blue, half-naked ones favored by James Cameron). It includes folks like former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and former Ark. Gov. Mike Huckabee (oh, if only he could shave pounds in reality like he does in the virtual world).

Three South Carolina gubernatorial candidates and one sitting senator were among those virtually present for the rally, including, from left, state Rep. Nikki Haley, Congressman Gresham Barrett, Sen. Jim DeMint, and Attorney General Henry McMaster.

Did you mean 'blue' or 'bleau'... or maybe "BLOW" as in "Blow for Blow"? The line up looks more like a store window full of stickmen/women. Mannequins, all of them. You gotta see them kicked during a state house voting frenzy before you see the real person behind all the IMAGE glitz.

I am sick of famous peeple in politiks. WHY don't they let the common weenie run for once and WIN? .

I was a virtual marcher myself. Maybe you think this is stupid, but the really stupid thing is that such a thing as being able to legally kill innocent babies exists.
