Jack Black Too "Rotund" To Play Jesus

Those folks over at Funny or Die have provided Prop 8 the musical. A jab at the measure approved by California voters to ban gay marriage, it's cute and clever, which is to say that it has really upset the conservaties. Personally, if gay people can sit through Boat Trip, than these people should be able to handle a little humor.

The funniest part is what they actually found offensive.

"Jack Black should remember from his days at Hebrew School that homosexual acts aren't funny and are roundly condemned in the Bible," (It should be noted that gays are never condemned by Christ.) said Dr. Gary Cass, of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission. "Appearing as a sarcastic, rotund Christ, Black distorts the Bible and condones shameful, homosexual acts."

How dare he play a rotund Christ! Jesus was lean and muscular and well-groomed and had a deep, masculine voice and manicured hands and feet and the cutest dimples and terrific bone structure and a charming smile and … oh, you get the picture.
