Is Lindsey Graham in S.C.'s Gay Closet?

In the print edition this week, we look at speculation that Sen. Lindsey Graham will be the next congressmen pushed out of the closet.
At 52, the life-long bachelor has been fodder for such rumors for years, but with the resignation of Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho — the anti-gay politician who pled guilty to disorderly conduct after allegedly soliciting sex in an airport men's room — the internet is abuzz over who's next, and they're dying to know what's going on in Graham's bedroom. Is it the latest grasp for the light switch in South Carolina's powerful political closet? Or the inevitable labeling of "closet-clinging self-hater" that befalls any content bachelor?
Graham isn't the first South Carolina politician to face such questions. While other names are omitted from this story because they aren't at the center of national speculation (thank your lucky chinos, boys) they've reached some of the most influential seats in state politics.

Senator Lindsey "Grahamnesty" should be reviled (and is) right now for turning his back on his state and supporting amnesty for millions of illegal aliens. He even insulted his own constituents in front of the National Council of La Raza. His backtracking a few weeks back (with Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff by his side) when he showed a suddent interest in border enforcement, made him look even more like a huckster. Chertoff looked uncomfortable as hell and who could blame him. That said, Graham's sexuality should be of no importance to Americans more concerned with the big picture (border security, economic drain, national identity, Balkanization, violent crime) than petty, gay bashing. I'd take a gay Jim Demint (on this issue) over a straight Graham any day. Americans have the right to their own prejudices however goofy, trivial or wrong - or right - they might be. However, hopefully we will eventually get to the point where most will realize that homosexuality is something someone is born with and it's neither moral nor productive to attack people for simply being themselves. That Lindsey might have a boyfriend is irrelevant. That significant portions of our country might become Mexico is not. Jack

Besides being one of the worst senators in our states history, we will forever be known as the state whose senator inserted the provision suspending habeas corpus. I hate his politics and his support of the criminals in the white house. If he can restrain himself in public bathrooms then who cares about his orientation. The worst thing is I can no longer stand graham crackers.. the evil...the evil.
Perhaps this explains why Lindsey has shifted to the left. Maybe LaRaza has a picture or video of Lindsey in a compromising situation. There are rumors that such footage exists. In fact, Larry Flint's daughter supposedly once upon a time held such proof. Being a closet homosexual compromises. In fact, intelligence agencies shun homosexuals because of this. It would behoove Lindsey to step down, because he will be outed!
Who cares if Lindsey is gay. If we can get through Strom and his long silenced daughter, why does Lindsey's sexuality bother anyone. South Carolina has far worse problems that need to be addressed than Lindsey Graham in the closet. Get off your rear ends fellow Carolinians, stop gossiping and get to work to fix education, poverty, preventing child abuse, child care (or lack of), etc. You have been sticking your heads in the pluff mud too long!
Sexual orientation of a Senator may matter to those closest to legislative issues on the subject ie: gay marriage. Senator Graham is an embarassment to South Carolina for his pandering with the National Council of La Raza and calling anyone concerned about illegal aliens a "bigot". Senator Graham does not acknowledge the impact illegal aliens cause in this country and the national security issues of not protecting our borders. All elected officials who ignore the illegal alien issues should be thrown out of office.
I don't care about Lindsey Graham being gay. I just want to know why he is running conservative, in this eclectic state and why he just won't clean and come out and say it??? He is full of crap. Who is he kidding. He is so queeny that i can't believe people are so deaf dumb and blind to his gayness! Please stop being such a phony. who are you hiding from? your family? If you are in the public, they are your audience, they need truth. Be gay and be happy. Because you really looked so pissed off all the time. Johnq I wondered where you went(from the P&C regular liberal comments) to CP, this is truley a step up, congrats. I would agree it shouldn't matter and that his politics should matter, but this is SC. It will be no shock that he will win AGAIN. He will not get my vote, and it's because of his politics not his sexual orientation.
I don't care if Graham is gay, he is a horrible senator. I just don't like the Larry Craig's, Ensigns, Livingston, and other so-called "moral *&@%@*... Its usually the homophobes that are really gay. Not that there is anything wrong with it, I just don't like the hypocrisy.

yikes, I guess what they way about the loony tunes being in control of S.C. politics all these years is true. Is it the drinking water, the absence of meaningful educational standards, or just the fact that too many of you still can't admit you lost the Civil War?
Sorry folks, I do care if he's gueer. That's just one more reason along with his bad politics why I don't care for the guy.

Not to mention, we literally stole half of their country. It's fair to ask who are the illegal aliens in California, Texas.....
