The noose tightened Wednesday as a third Charleston resident was indicted along with former state Treasurer Thomas Ravenel and local DJ Micheal L. Miller on charges he conspired to distribute cocaine.
A federal grand jury meeting Wednesday in Columbia added Pasquale Pellicoro, 53, to a June indictment charging Ravenel and co-defendant Michael L. Miller, 25, of Mount Pleasant, with conspiracy to possess and distribute less than 500 grams of cocaine.
What makes this one interesting is that I heard Pellicoro's name attached to this mess last week — along with the name of at least one other high-profile Charleston mover and shaker.
I tend to think that adding more people to this indictment helps Ravenel. The more people packed on here, the more he looks like a party host and less like the Godfather.
