It might not be long before broadcast television is as charmed with Charleston as the millions of fans of Army Wives. CBS is currently filming a pilot for the hour-long drama Reckless around town, and according to a recent story in the Post and Courier, the show is “written about Charleston for Charleston.”
Deadline.com describes the plot as revolving around “Jamie, a gorgeous Yankee litigator, and Roy, a Southern city attorney, who struggle to hide their intense attraction while clashing over a police sex scandal.” We bet stuff like this happens all the time at the Four Corners.
The show will star Anna Wood (Chronicle, Deception), Shawn Hatosy (Southland), Cam Gigandet (Twilight, Easy A), Adam Rodriguez (CSI Miami), and Michael Gladis (Paul Kinsey on Mad Men). IMDB has Catherine Hardwicke listed as the director — as in the Catherine Hardwicke of the first Twilight film. Yep. This could very well be a big deal for the Holy City.
The show has already set up a Facebook page for extras (or you can e-mail email@example.com), and who knows? Maybe a couple of copies of the City Paper will make an appearance in an episode.
