Tim Scott calls Christians 'minority under assault'

The gospel according to Uncle Tim

Posted by Chris Haire on Tue, Jan 17, 2012 at 7:03 AM

Tim Scott isn't good at math.

Seriously, he sucks.

I mean, that's the only conclusion that I can draw following comments he made yesterday at a Tea Party event in Myrtle Beach leading up to last night's GOP primary debate. Either that or he's a dishonest windbag who has no problem lying to fire up the party's most easily angered supporters.

Then again, this is the Tea Party we're talking about it. And they're used to being lied to. Hell, they do it all the time to themselves.

You see, if the Tea Party folks were actually all about fiscal conservatism and shrinking the size of the federal government — instead of being pissed off that a Democrat is in the White House — they wouldn't be backing Washington insiders like Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum. Instead, they'd be rallying around Ron Paul and nobody would be waiting around for the inevitable to happen: for voters in the South Carolina primary to pick Mitt Romney as their nominee.

But that's neither here no there. I don't think Tim Scott is a liar. Like I said, I think he's just a dunce. I mean, only a moron would proclaim that Christians are the nation's "greatest minority under assault" when all statistical evidence says otherwise.

See, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, 173,000,000 Americans are Christians. The next largest group of believers: Jews at 2.6 million. The number of Muslims and Buddhists come to 1.3 million and 1.1 million respectively.

What makes all of this particularly ironic is the fact that Tim Scott has long dismissed charges that the deck is stacked against blacks in America, you know, a group that was treated, first, like chattel and then like second class citizens as recent as 50 fucking years ago. In Scott's world, the effects of 300-plus years of institutionalized racism have been completely erased, and the playing field has been leveled. Blacks and whites now stand as equals and all barriers to prosperity have been lifted. The sons and daughters of slavery are now free at last.

And nobody knows that better than Uncle Tim. He's free to speak his mind, just so long as he doesn't anger his delusional GOP masters who live in a world where the majority is the minority and everybody else eats government cheese.

As for the trouble with Tim Scott, here's an earlier post which is enlightening.

I see and hear attacks throughout the world towards Christians. and True Christians are the Minority, always have been...
Just because you say you are a Christian, doesn't make you one . I suggest you read the Bible concerning what a True believer is and how they are to walk and live their lives, then get back with me on the issue . Yes the Gov. figures say there are 173,000,000 who say they are christians , But the question is ! how many within that number are "True Christians". Remember Christ said that all His ( True)churches would be small. In the last days many would fall away from the faith, meaning they were not true believers in the first place.
And remember Christ said he would always have a Remnant, meaning "a small surviving group" or "small part". As in Matt. 7 :13-14, where Christ said that . the way is Narrow . and the gate is strait, srtait meaning . "restricted", and that few shall find it, or go therein ...But , "many" meaning the "Majority" shall go down the wide path to destruction. This will be those who also call themselves "Christians" the way our Society is going i can believe that would be true . Tim Scott is right on cue.

So, when I do the release of Clarkie's posts as modern, digital performance art, should I have a backing track for them? Or just do them without any background? I'm probably going to go for a pretty medium reverb effect (a large effect would make it sound way to Godly, I think and a small effect is practically worthless).

And if you do not believe what i said . Just read some of the up-coming comments. you will see the hate towards True Christians. and the vile remarks from the unbelievers, and I am glad that this man who wrote the article, opened this forum.
we will see just how depraved our society is and how the name of Charleston should not be called "the Holy City" . Christ said that "they shall hate you because of Me"

There is only one "religious minority" that is and has been under attack:
Those of us with the sense to have no religion.
This is, however, the only religous group that is actually growing.
Hence the Ayatollah Scott's concern.

The most exciting thing about Tim Scott is the fact that he sells insurance. If he's such a good Christian, why isn't he married with 18 kids like Bachmann and Santorum? (We all know Romney is not really Christian and Newt flip flops on religion) Scott is a 40-something year old bachelor in what is doubtless the closet of the right wing with Senator Lindsey Graham. And it's really no surprise that these Republicans feel they need to hide with people like Clarkie out there voting, but it's a shame that they can't be who they really are.

Christians are not under attack. Christians are attacking freedom of religion. Freedom of religion is the ability of people of any faith or no faith at all to exist without governement imposing laws to favor one religion over another. Freedom of religion is the fair approach to providing laws that will govern ALL people. Laws that promote Christianity interfere with the freedoms of other religions. In other words, follow christianity or whatever religion you want to follow but do not make laws that would force all people to be christian - that is ludicrous. There are churches on practically every corner of the nation that supports the congregations that attend and want to be part of higher calling so please go to your church and pray. If everyone goes to their respective churches to pray, then everyone can be happy.

tupper, Christ only has One Church, He has One Faith , and One belief, And there is only One way to salvation . and that is through Christ Jesus. The word religion is a man made one ,. for men of the world, Christ Had no religion, nor did He teach religion when He was on earth during His Ministry. Christ nor His apostles never planted any so-called Denominations like we see today, and the teachings of "there are many ways to God" fraud !.Christians are not attacking anyone . they are attacking the false gospel of this world that comes from Satan and his people . the false gospel coming from all the different types of religious groups called Denominations today . why are there so many differnt groups of religion with a different way of salvation and a different gospel than what Christ and the apostles taught ?? Because man doesn't want the truth from God . they want a god that will wink at their sins and say , "OH! thats ok. with a smile :) They hate the restrictions that God places upon His people . and the way they are to live while in this world , they "love their sins and want to continue in them, and they hate God or anyone who preaches or speaks against that sin. The two words that Satan uses today even in the churches is . "Tolerance" and Diversity" look at what that has done over the past few years . They say they believe in God < as long as He doesn't tell them how to live their lives and how to conduct themselves while in this world..Man thinks he is above God , and likes nothing better than to bring God down to their level to be equal with God , that is a very dangerous position to try . remember what happened to Satan ?

Clarkie, I like to be nice to all people and respect everyone's right to their religion - I will continue to use the term as the entire world uses it successfully to describe the belief in a higher power. You, like a growing number of christians seem to want all people who are not christians to depart the face of the earth and your lack of tolerance is counter to God's teachings. That makes you and your kind unwilling to embrace all people and makes your kind very, very dangerous due to your total lack of tolerance for other people. Your argument holds no water with me because, while I respect your right to believe in a higher being, I know that there is none. Man created god to scare (blackmail) the people into conforming to a set of so-called moral values. I am a caring, respectful, productive "sinner" and I have yet to need god to be good. Too many people (and I know a few) use god to lean on and fail to stand on their own two feet, waiting on god to help them. Christians can pray up a storm for help, but will always have to lift themselves up to succeed.

Dude, i want to post your articles on my facebook, but I don't like swearing and I think it generally sounds less intelligent. You're obviously smart enough to be witty and scathing without swearing.
