We're working on a larger story about LGBT hot spots and the current anatomy of a "gay" club. Ask anyone and they'll probably respond "Pantheon" or "Patrick's." But the Gay-Straight Young Professionals and other social groups are taking the gay bar wherever they go. And they're not alone.
So, tell us what makes a gay bar a gay bar. Feel free to offer some personal anecdotes about your favorite hangout. E-mail greg@charlestoncitypaper.com

i think people should be who they want to be that's what free country be most of them are harmless and don't bother people it is just like anything else you have good whites and bad whites, bad blacks and good blacks the news is what makes mountains out of mole hills if they would leave people alone and let them live there on lives, now skin heads are different not sure what should be done about them they are dangerous, also the Islamic people (98%) came here to live a better life not all are radicals,so if everyone would leave them alone there might not be so much violence everyone has problems right now and they try to blame all the wrong people
A guy came into a bar one day and said to the barman "Give me six double vodkas."
The barman says "Wow! you must have had one hell of a day."
"Yes, I've just found out my older brother is gay."
The next day the same guy came into the bar and placed the same order for drinks.
When the bartender asked what the problem was today the answer came back, "I've just found out that my younger brother is gay too!"
On the third day the guy came into the bar and ordered another six double vodkas.
The bartender said "Darn! Doesn't anybody in your family like women?"
"Yeah, my wife..."
