National gay blog spotlights Charleston Harbor pitch for massive Southern gentleman

The little local story about a very big guy has hit the national gay blogosphere, with a post by popular gay blogger Towleroad, including a link to the News 2 story.

For those not in the know, the board overseeing Patriots Point heard a pitch earlier this week for a male Statute of Liberty as one opportunity to save the struggling military tourist stop. The PP says it was one of several pitches and it hasn't made any decisions on the idea.

Homophobia is defined as prejudice against (fear or dislike of) homosexual people and homosexuality. Some deinitions add "irrational" before prejudice. I don't think it can be "irrational". I'm not going to get into a long debate with anyone about this. There's no discussing homosexuality with homosexuals in a rational manner for they are irrational. My experience with homosexuals has been: (1) At age 5, a homosexual 12 year old neighbor boy tried to have anal sex with me. He got my pants down and I ran away. (2) I lived in Atlanta and used to play pool with a group of lesbians in a gay bar mostly filled with men. A gay guy found out I was straight and spit beer in my face. I grabbed my long neck Budweiser bottle and was about to smash it against his head when one of the lesbians grabbed my arm and begged me to stop or both the gay guy and I would go to jail. I stoped and went to the restroom to wash my face. (3) The men's restroom had signs on the stall doors which read "Only one person in a stall at a time". Perversion by two must have been the reason. (4) There was a back room where homosexual males gathered to have group sex and watch each other. (5) I was a house cleaner for a time. In the homes of male homosexuals, I saw the filthiest magazines I've ever seen. All sorts of perverted same sex was vividly photographed. I've never seen anything so repulsive in my life or in Playboy, Penthouse nor Hustler. (6) In March of 2009, I was in a bar in NC. It was filled with about 150 people and was not a gay bar. I was tapped on the shoulder by a short young man who then said, "I want to f--- you in the butt". I told him I'd wipe the floor up with him if he didn't leave me alone. His 6'5" gay partner stepped up and threatened me. I told him to go to hell and then I told the bartender to call 911. The two gay bullies disappeared into the crowd. (7) I sat down at the bar to regroup and the 40 year old or so guy next to me said, "I'd like to suck your d---". I told him I would break the bottle of beer in my hand over his face". He cowered, got up and left. I never saw a homosexual in that bar again.
