Local musicians will perform soulful numbers to benefit Girls Rock Charleston on Saturday June 21 at Meeting Street’s Local 616. The night is called Soul Sisters, and the songstress lineup includes Faline, Aisha Kenyetta, Zandrina Dunning, Maya Morrill, Beattie Porter, and Livy Conner.

Organizer and performer Lindsay Holler describes the event as “a revue of women in soul music, testifyin’ and proselytizin’ from the bottom of their hearts.” Admission is $10, and a portion of all ticket sales will go directly to Girls Rock, a camp that teaches young girls and transgender youth to create and play music. The music begins at 9 p.m.
