King Dusko announces Secret Identity Party lineup and more

Dress as bizarre as you please, and change your name for the night, too

In celebration of the Instrumenthead exhibit (May 30-June 8), King Street’s King Dusko has announced a lineup of music for the festivities that includes a May 31 Secret Identity Party from 7-12 p.m. with synth-pop artist Billie Fountain, plus Mechanical River, Hub Cap Annie, and Contour. Backdropped by Michael Weintrob’s beautiful rock photography, this party encourages guests to “let your alter-ego show you a good time,” i.e. fashion yourself a costume as bizarre as you please (and change your name for the night while you're at it).

Other musical acts featured that week include Ironing Board Sam and Dom Flemons (Carolina Chocolate Drops) for opening night on May 30, and Joel Timmons and Friends will play the closing party June 8. Timmons (Sol Driven Train) is also one of the subjects within the exhibition that features images of musicians with their faces obscured by their instruments.
