Keys-caressing singer-songwriter and Mt. Pleasant resident Brendan James has teamed up with The Voice
season two finalist Tony Lucca for the duo's Keys, Strings, and a Band of Kings tour (for more on Lucca, check out this week's issue). After kicking off the tour in October, James and Lucca have hit spots up and down the East Coast, and the last stop on the road — Thursday night's show at the Charleston Music Hall — just happens to be in James' own backyard. "There's no more special town for me to play in these days, so I can't freakin' wait," James says.
After the tour, James, who released his latest album Simplify this year, will begin a new chapter in his life: fatherhood. Of course, he's not giving up music for good — natch. He's just taking a break from touring. We wish him and his family the best.
