Charleston-based country/pop/indie duo Shovels and Rope — multi-instrumentalists and vocalists Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent — will wrap up a month-long series of Monday evening shows at the Pour House on Mon. June 2 at 8 p.m. before heading back on the road. They’ll travel all the way to the Northwest back in July and August.
Their highly anticipated, self-produced studio album, O’ Be Joyful, is officially due for release on July 31 on the Dualtone label. Hearst and Trent will return to town for a CD release show presented by their local collective Shrimp Records at the Pour House on Sat. Aug. 18 with the Winter Sounds and Magic Mike on the bill.
