Philadelphia-born, Charleston-based rock/funk/reggae band Long Miles have an album release in the works. Bandmates Brett Haenn, James McNally, Sam Morgan, John Shields, Ross Bogan, and Adam Williams (all students at the College of Charleston) raised funds through a Kickstarter campaign last year to record with acclaimed studio wiz Rick Beato at Black Dog Sound in Atlanta and produce their first full-length studio effort, a 10-song collection titled
Shades.
Long Miles will release the new tunes locally and online at iTunes, Amazon, and other online music outlets on March 27. A CD release show is solid for Wed. March 29 at the Music Farm with support from local bands HeyRocco and the South Carolina Broadcasters. Admission will be $10. All proceeds from the show will benefit CofC’s Arts Management Program, from which two of the bandmates are graduating this spring. Visit facebook.com/longmiles and musicfarm.com for more.
