Torch Reaches 2,500

The King Street hotspot reaches a fun milestone

Downtown dance club and bar Torch Velvet Lounge (545 King St.) celebrated a sixth anniversary last March. This week, they celebrate an unusual milestone: being open 2,500 consecutive days in a row.

The club has never closed for holidays or special events, and it’s never been forced to shut down. In celebration, they’ll host a party on Wed. Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. with house beats and dance music from local turntablist DJ PJ with special guest Jeffersonic (from South Beach, Fla.).
