The seventh annual Music and Oysters for Wildlife benefit is set for Sat. Jan. 21 at the Sewee Outpost in Awendaw, on the edge of the Francis Marion National Forest. The event features all-you-can-eat Bulls Bay oysters, barbecue, silent and live auctions, and an afternoon full of live music.

The roster includes several local roots-rock, folk, and bluegrass acts, including Danielle Howle, Firework Show, Occasional Milkshake (with Doug Jones and Jenny Leigh), Red Dog Ramblers, Clay Rice, and Ed Hunnicutt. Members of the Lincoln Middle School and High Steel Bands will be on hand as well.

Proceeds benefit the SEWEE Association, which hopes to raise money to support their environmental education programs. The festival runs from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Advance tickets are available for $35. Admission is $40 at the gate. Check out seweeassociation.org and awendawgreen.com for more info.
