The North Charleston Performing Arts Center recently added a dapper concert to its winter calendar. Charleston-based country/rock vocalist Darius Rucker will lose the cowboy boots and jeans and don a tuxedo for an elegant benefit show billed as An Evening with Darius Rucker Singing the Songs of Frank Sinatra
on Mon. Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. The event is designed to raise funds for the MUSC Children’s Hospital.
The orchestrated swing/big-band set will be a big change of pace from twangy tunes on Rucker’s latest album, Charleston, SC 1966.
Tickets are on sale for between $50 and $250. Visit northcharlestoncoliseum-pac.com and dariusrucker.com for more info.
