Bruce recently independently released an eight-song album of funky originals and acoustic ballads titled Monkey Trap. He calls the set of originals “backyard party music.” Early spins suggest a gumbo of electric blues-rock and twangy Americana, with hints of reggae and New Orleans-styled soul and zydeco.
So far, Monkey Trap is available online at cdbaby.com and iTunes, as well as at Hometown Bath & Body in Moncks Corner and select regional record shops.
Catch Bruce on Wednesdays at Iacofano’s in Mt. Pleasant and on Thursdays at Oscar’s Restaurant in Summerville.
