STUDIO NEWS Charleston Sound

6aba/1241195084-charlestonsound_tbl_38_resized.jpg East Cooper recording facility Charleston Sound — a 2,000-square-foot, fully equipped professional studio with top-notch gear — has only been in business for a short time, but things are already busy as can be.

Owner and main recording engineer Jeff Hodges (pictured) recently wrapped several tracking sessions with local rock/reggae quintet Plainfield Project, and plans to mix a full-length album’s worth of tunes this week. Look for an independent release a few months down the line — the band announced this week that it's "pushing for end of May for hard copies."

Other forthcoming May sessions include local acts Gaslight Street, Kentucky Shoes, Firework Show, Mac Leaphart, and Milhouse. The studio is located at near Park West in Mt. Pleasant. Visit www.charlestonsound.com for more.
