A gang of local visual and musical artists plan to uncelebrate (or de-celebrate … or ignore altogether) Christmas on Thurs. Dec. 25 with a special event. We heard about the "There is No God III" event by way of hand-written note and post.

The Upper Deck Tavern — a second-floor hangout at 353 King Street — hosts the annual free art and music show (with a "dark and disconnected element") with material from SHT!, Shepman, Charlie MacAlister, Savannah Rusher, Knoe, Sharen Mitchell, Bruce Faw, Jimihatt, Br. T, Justin Cammen, Die, Darling…, Otis, DJ Ice Bread, DJ Chucktown, and Banana Hammock. The show starts at 6 p..m. and carries on late into the night late. Don't expect any cheerful caroling, fragrant bowls of eggnog, or babbly bible-thumping.
