Founded in 2006 as "the Lowcountry’s first school of rock," local organization Music Unlimited offers private instruction by some of the Charleston's finest musicians and instructors (guitars, drums, keys, vocals, etc.). They host the “MU ROCKS Summer Camp” for teenage students who want to learn more about playing in bands, writing songs, stage performance, and other aspects of the biz.

The organization hosts a fund-raising event on Tues. Aug. 12 at the Windjammer. The evening’s benefit gig features live music from Holly on Methadone (featuring veteran guitarist Chris Holly), White Rhino, Skyline Trio, Josh Kaler, Eddie Bush, and special guests. Many of the performers teach and work with Music Unlimited throughout the year. Doors open at 7 p.m. and showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are $10. Call (843)-388-1770 to find out more.
