The Juice Joint settles down on James Island

Is it time for a juice cleanse yet?

Juice is bigger than kale these days, kids. For proof? The Juice Joint's rapid success. Wendy and Mike Ezelle started their liquid venture with a stall at the Saturday farmers market in Marion Square, quickly expanded with a mobile truck on Folly Beach, and recently announced their newest location next door to Gold's Gym on Folly Road. The juice trend is nothing to sneeze at — Barron's reports that it's a $5 billion industry growing at a four to eight percent rate per year.

The Folly Road Juice Joint will be the Ezelle's first standalone venue, with an expanded menu of offerings, like avocado toast, housemade oatmeal, and a Hawaiian acai bowl. A perfect slate for the Gold's post-workout crowd (or at least the ones who don't head straight for a diet coke and cigarette after their workouts).

In addition to classic juices and smoothies, the Juice Joint will serve coffee and espresso from James Island's CUP Fine Coffee Roasters.

On Black Friday, get a jumpstart on your healthy holiday makeover with $1.00 off juices, smoothies, and food all day long.

They are open weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 1291 Folly Road. (843) 795-8060.
