The guys at Striped Pig are cookin' up hooch in North Charleston
For some time now, the Striped Pig Distillery has been quietly setting up shop and distilling their local “grain to glass” moonshine, vodka, and rum at a warehouse facility on Azalea Drive in North Chuck.
On Wednesday, Nov. 20, they will unveil the space for a four-course cocktail paired dinner featuring Leila Shardt and Tito Marino of Monza and Closed for Business. Kelsey Shultz (Cocktail Club), Craig Nelson (Proof), Jason Robey (Indaco), and Brent Sweatman (The Rarebit) will be slinging the drinks with back-up support from Ice Box, Event Doctors, and Holy City Hogs.
The pork-centric menu promises to impress will a slate that includes pork terrine, cavatelli with cotechino sausage chestnuts and bone marrow, bourbon braised pork belly, and candied pancetta topping a hazelnut polenta cake for dessert.
