The Charleston Wine + Food Festival announced yesterday that they’ve hired a new executive director to replace founding director Angel Postell, who resigned in March after a successful festival that reached a record-breaking $10.7 million economic impact for the Charleston area.

Gillian Trimboli-Zettler is the new director, coming to town from Greenville’s Euphoria festival, a food and wine event that was started by musician Edwin McCain in 2006.

Trimboli-Zettler was interviewed and chosen by a slate of stakeholders, including restaurateurs, chefs, the board of directors, and full-time staff members.

She will be relocating to Charleston from Greenville.
