Baguette Magic starts community supported bakery

Let's break some bread

Posted by Stephanie Barna on Fri, Aug 31, 2012 at 2:11 PM

As if Mathieu Richard's little bread shop wasn't magical enough with all that fresh bread (baguettes! chocolate croissants! sourdough!), now Baguette Magic on Folly Road is offering delivery. That's right, starting Sept. 1, Richard will make weekly deliveries to James Island, Folly Beach, and downtown. You can order baguettes, sourdough, 8-grain loaves, brioche, and croissants online. The only requirement is a $5 minimum order for four, six, or 12 weeks and a $1 delivery fee for each week. If you opt for 12 weeks, you'll get two free butter croissants for extra measure.

Richard, who grew up in the French countryside, decided to start Baguette Magic after finding that there were no exceptional baguettes in Charleston, feeling the need to create his own “magical” baguettes himself. His bread has more than proven itself, creating some very happy taste buds around the Lowcountry. If you’ve ever had a taste of one of Richard’s warm butter croissants or fresh-baked baguettes and would love to have them delivered straight to your door, sign up at baguettemagic.com.
