If you're looking for an interesting dinner to attend, there's a Sustainable Seafood dinner tonight. I had my intern Anna write up a bit about it:
The Boathouse and the South Carolina Aquarium will be hosting the Sustainable Seafood Initiative dinner tonight on Breach Inlet. The four-course dinner combines an array of environmentally-friendly seafood paired with complementary wines. To start, a cured local Amberjack will be served with yuzu, mango, cucumber, and micro arugula and to refresh the palate, a Sauvignon Blanc from Stellenbosch will accompany it.
Then, because the season’s almost over, there will be fresh Breach Inlet Oysters, served three ways, (raw, fried, and stewed) and a little Spanish bubbly to help slide ‘em down.
Round three offers a crispy Florida Golden Tile fish with Breach Inlet Clams and baby bok choy in a truffle broth along with Husch, Chenin Blanc. And they will finish strong with roasted local Vermillion Snapper, prosciutto, olives, tomato vinaigrette, and faro paired with a Torii Mor, Pinot Noir.
